What Do You Think Of My PA?
Forums
I just picked up a Crown XLS 202D power amp and (2) Yamaha BR15's. Ive only got to use the setup (in conjuction with my Yamaha MG166CX mixer) once, and it sounded pretty good for my acoustic needs. However, I wanted to make sure I am hooking them up correctly, and the best way to get the most power, safely.

HELP Noob needs good patch cords + preamp + interface!
Forums
I'm trying to make my home recordings sound better and need some advice, I do mostly electronic music.
Cords:
I'm totally overwhelmed on the amount of cords out there on ebay and can't figure out what is quality and will give me a great sound at a not too insane of price. I try doing google searches and can't find anything really.
what do you all recommend for delay?
Forums
Guys, using Cubase 4 here and am looking for some fresh delay ideas.
I'm mainly looking to use it to create space and depth.
I've been using Wavessupertap, it is awesome, but have been toying with maybe fabfilters timeless, psp 84, or ohmboyz.
What you all think?
Also how are the builtin delays in Cubase?

Altec 1567A mixer hum, help needed
Forums
I got an Altec 1567A mixer and hooked up a line level signal (like a CD player) to input 1 octal socket pin 7 hot and 8 ground. Pins 5 & 7 are linked. The output is connected to output octal socket pin 7 hot, pin 8 ground. It has a bad hum/low frequency buzz, I think its the way its hooked up. I don't think its the unit itself and I tried lifting grounds on everything except the mixer.

Pro Tools Monitoring Question HELP!
Forums
can anyone tell if there is a way in pro tools le that i can recording my input signal WITHOUT monitoring it at all. Basically what I am trying to do is lay down some vocal tracks with the headphones at a low volume and just monitor my true voice that I'm hearing outside the cans. hope that makes sense. .any help would be great, thanks!

I need help making my guitar recordings sound bigger.
Forums
I have an acoustically treated room. I am using a PreSonus Firepod. I have an SM57 and are using a variety of guitars and amps. I have also used more mics and different mic placements. I just can't seem to get the guitar to sound big on my recordings. This is much more evident the more distortion I use.
Preamp within $250
Forums
I have two mics, an SM58 & a RODE NT1 and am using a PreSonus Firebox for recording. I would be recording one input at a time and it would be primarily voice and sometimes acoustic guitar or amped out electric. Could someone please guide me which preamp would fit my budget of $250. I am finding the gain on the Firebox rather low with the SM58 but just about acceptable with the RODE NT1.

Simple ear training?
Forums
Hi guys,
I realize that the title of this post may seem misleading, but I was thinking yesterday, and is there any way to train your ear throughout the day? Maybe I'm crazy. If so, kindly ignore this post. I was just looking to express an idea.
