I have been playing cover song gigs long enough, and have gotten screwed over enough times by promoters, venues, etc. that I have decided it would be a good decision for me to make a contract for gigs. ESPECIALLY ones that are going to be a steady weekly occurance at a particular place.

Im just wondering, ive been looking at interfaces for a while and i pick out the one i wanted and am saving for it now (Echo layla 3g), but my friend recently got a M-Audio Fast Track Ultra, and just before it turned up he has giving up music (reason i do not know so no gossip lol), he said i can have it for £150 which is nearly £100 off.

So I found an old keyboard that I used to have, and I noticed it had Midi on it. This was a blessing from above, since I was in a dilemma for recording drums and other midi instruments with Reaper (which is actually a very good production freeware, I'm glad I was told to download it).

I have a question, I got the us-144 usb 2.0 audio interface. I'm new with recording but is there a way to record sounds without asio, I don't really like asio because when I select the inteface I have to plug my headphones into it. I would use the interface for all the sounds but I can't get asio on every software.
So I want to know if it's possible to record with asio4all?

I want to record my garage band's practice sessions. But not in a position to spend so much. Using windows XP-SP2. I just want to know how will I record with two or more mics simultaneously into my laptop's sound recorder . I do have Audacity software, that facilitates numerous sound processing capabilities.

Has anybody used Audio-Technica 's new 250DE kick mic? If so, how did it preform?(studio)
