I have a Samson C01U USB microphone on my new Vista OS. The microphone works, but no matter what settings I try, there is always a very audible 'hum' in the recording. I've tried recording with both the default sound recorder and Adobe Audition 3.

Does it make any difference on sound at all if a studio monitor is bi-amped or single amp meaning only one speaker has the amp and uses a crossover to divide the tweeter and woofer. I have heard the M-Audio AV-30 and it uses single amp and I think the sound was a lot more clear and better than my Roland DS-30A bi-amped monitor. Does bi-amp suppose to be better then single amp?

hi! i've got a problem with the outputs of the EZdrummer in DP5:
i choosed a new instrument (EZdrummer). i choosed the multiple outputs in EZdrummer. In DP5's bundles window i can see the following channels:

Just having a slight problem with this set up. Running a pro tools HD with a 192, also a Big Ben and a Rosetta 200.

I have the the big ben WC connected to the input of the 192 and 200. The 200 is then connected to the 192 via AES/EBU

I'm starting to promote my original music and starting to play more showcases with local acts. As part of that I'm working with a local studio to get my songs recorded properly. Here's where the question starts.

Is it possible to make a reasonably good profit from royalty free loops selling them as CD or individual tracks (.wav, .rex, etc)? Are there preferred websites out there for this?

I am currently running 2 instances of XP. One is my everyday stuff that I need for work and school, and the other is my DAW config. Just recently my Asus p5n32e blew and I had to send it back to Newegg. I was just informed that they no longer have that product in stock and have discontinued selling it so I will be offered an equivalent model or refund.

They like good preamps.

They hate compressors used in the analog line inputs.

If you buy the expansion card they have a descent vocal room with reverb and a nice compressor. The tube modeling one isn't bad. I have yet to really get into all the features.

The unit is like a maze.
