I havent had to deal with this yet. But I would like to know the best way to do a compact setup of monitoring the 8 channels off of my firepod, plus obviously, the playback (via stereo pair as I can control the monitoring in cuebase for now) into 4 channels of a headphone distro amp, and my monitors (if I would like the channels Im tracking to be on them).

Hey everyone, merry christmas.
It was especially merry for me because I have just come into a bunch of cash for throwing around. I've been researching a lot lately on the type of equipment I want to get, I'll run everything down for you.
I need atleast 8XLR inputs, as I want to be able to record drums, small quartets, etc.

I seem to be having more success lately, while tracking my own vocals, in listening through monitors turned low instead of a set of cans. For some reason I'm able to get more control over the old voice(I don't claI'm to be a pro vocalist). when monitoring, I just use a minimum of instrumentation.

I have been recording several years. I presently have 2 Fostex D90's, ART Dual MP preamps, Roland SRV2000, and Studio Master 16 channel console. Myself and the bands I have recorded have been very happy with the recording results. I am looking at upgrading to a Digidesign 002r and Pro Tools Le7.0 and MAC PowerPC dual G5.

Can anyone give me some advice here. Im finally upgrading from 4track analog recording (Tascam Porta7) to a digital Boss Br1600CD 16track machine.
Anyone know anything that i need to know about this machine? Limitations etc.

I have started designing my pro tools studio around a Digidesign 002 rack, so far I have an Alesis SR16 midi'd to a Korg Trton which is then connected via Midi out to the 002 rack. I have a marshall amp and an old digital RP3 digitech unit for my guitars plus a Shure SM57 and SM58.

I own a small home-studio. I am looking to add some guitar tools to it.
I've been product researching and have come to some conclusions or near one's at least.
I want to add the Boss GT-8 as my effects processing station.
Recording primarily and some live applications.
