Hello to everyone! A friend of mine just gave me two ck4 capsules and i wanna know what bodies do i need to make them works?

I am looking to buy a good vocal mic priced around $1000. I have heard so many good things about both of these mics but i do not know which way to go. i live in a small town in south GA so i can't really rent either of these mics and research myself so if i buy it would be a blind purchase.

Hey all, I just purchased the AKG 200 Perception mic to add to my closet, and was wondering if anyone has used this mic and what they thought of it. I know that it isn't the most expensive type of mic or probably the best to use in the studio, but due to budget constraints, I went with this microphone.

Well I was leaning toward a condenser until I read some topics about condensers. Are Condensers only good for really quiet rooms? I have a air conditioner here running & sometimes it can get loud with pple here. I also have no booth to record in. I have a mixer that has phantom power, but would i be better off with a dynamic mic? I'm recording in a house room here.

I'm in the process of selecting a condenser mic for my home studio and the AKG 414 matches my needs and perfectly fits my budget. I've read great things on both however I'm not sure how the two series are different? Its stated that the XL II is suited for solo instruments and vocals whereas the XLS is a more universal mic. The XL II cost $100 more too...

Ok I have a sytek preamp with the burr browns very smooth going to an AKG solidtube mic nice mic it just seems to have a lot of hum could the power supply be going bad?

Looking from the perspective of vocals first, then just about anything else, how would you compare these two microphones.

Someone I know is selling a AKG D12e from the 60's/70's with the original box in great condition.
