My question is when you are mixing in your DAW do you burn from your DAW or do u get ad external CD burner ive always just used the DAW is that wrong or is that what most people do?

We're preparing to gear up our new studio to be able to record full bands. Trying to decide which will be the best fit. Will have both Logic and Pro Tools(003 Rack) on the same daw, so would like to be able to control them both. Currently have a Focusrite ISA 428 which we'll be adding additional channels of outboard pres.

Hi everyone, I currently have a Dell Dimension 2400 with a Pentium 4 2.4 Ghz CPU, 642 MB RAM (512MB + 128MB), and a stock 60G HD. I'm currently using an Alesis cheapo mixer/USB interface. I have been doing some dabbling in recording and would like to set up a more capable DAW. I am looking at getting an M-Audio Delta 1010 to use with Pro Tools M Powered.

what do you guys think is a better set-up for a DAW, does anyone know whether Software like Sonar or CUBASE take advantage of the 64bit technology? i heard a lot of older software out there will run on a 64bit processor as a 32 bit process, and not get done any faster?

I'm getting ready to build a new daw and was planning on getting the Antec P180 or the 900.

However, there's a lot new cases out there and I kind of like the Thermaltake ones as well! :P

So... anyone with any suggestions please fill free to chime in! :D

I've taught myself a buncha stuff and have some good people advising me (non-musician techy guys) but now I wanna ask recording.org. .

What are we looking for in a mobo? Or...what makes a good DAW motherboard?
