Description
An acronym for Digital Audio Workstation A digital audio workstation (DAW) is an electronic device or application software used for recording, editing and producing audio files. DAWs come in a wide variety of configurations from a single software program on a laptop, to an integrated stand-alone unit, all the way to a highly complex configuration of numerous components controlled by a central computer. Regardless of configuration, modern DAWs have a central interface that allows the user to alter and mix multiple recordings and tracks into a final produced piece.

New DAW

Hi
Ive been on here a few times asking micro questions re this mobo and that processor. And despite input and response ive only confused myself more.
Ive just sold my AKAI DR16 and some other bits. Ive got a £1000 to spend.

How does this DAW look?

Hey everyone,

I have been doing my research and I think I have come up with a good DAW for around $700. However, before I go off buying parts, I wanted to see if anyone had suggestions or alert me to something that I am missing.

My other question is, should I just wait a month and get a Conroe and mobo for just a bit more money or just stick with what is outlined below?

Easy but professional DAW-Fadervolumecontroller wanted!

hello!
i use Pro Tools LE7 with the digi002 rack. now i wanna have a DAW-controller with 8 faders for my 8 hardwareoutputs. does an EVOLUTION UC33E work with my hard- and software? i know: DIGIDESIGN COMMAND 8 would be the best, but isn't there another/cheaper solution which works without problems? thanx for your help!
