The M-1 has two analog in's as well as digital in's. The only problem is you have to use one or the other so you are limited to only two in's at a time. Oh well. :mad:

Interesting rumor going around that Apple is going to purchase Avid. Its a rumor, but it would not surprise me at all, seems to make good sence for Apple, and Avid shares have been declining.

The thing to wonder about is - how safe are Pro Tools users (and third party PT developers) if Digi falls in the hands of a "non-audio" parent?

Hey everybody,

i have a PTIII system(2 dsp farms) and feel fairly abandoned by Digidesign in terms of upgrading options. their 001 system is a dead end and their MIX TDM systems are ridiculously high priced. they won't make anything past v5.01 work for PTIII either. so, which company out there should i be paying attention to in terms of finding a comparable system to PT MIX TDM?

I don't know if any of you have been to digidesigns DUC forum recently but I have to say it has become unbearable. There are no interesting topics and the amount of beginner questions is frustrating.
