Mics for acoustic guitar/voice
Hello there,
I was wondering if anyone can suggest a couple of mics that i can use for recording acoustic guitar and voice at home. Something with good quality but not too expensive. How many do I need? etc.
Thanks

guitar mic placement
If I have a 4x12 guitar cab in a small very dead vocal-booth type room, I know I will need the standard sm57 on the sweet-spot of the cab speaker, but would putting a condenser at a farther distance and getting the phase right make any difference to the sound?

suggestions for acoustic guitar model to record with
hey all
I'm having problems getting a good tone recording acoustic guitar. i have an ovation custom legend, which i have always hated (biggest waste of $k i have ever spent), and am looking to trade it for something which will get me better results. my gibson jumbo is way too boomy and bassy as well.

Recording guitar (getting a very digital sound) HELP!
I'm totally new to all of this. I have 2 Sennhauser E609 mics on my Marshall cabinet and they are running through a Lexicon Lambda into a USB input on my computer. I am using Cakewalk Sonar 7 for my recordings. I have a nice tube amp that I use and high-endguitars but my recordings sound very digital compared to what is actually coming aout of my cabinet. What is the problem?

recording electric guitar by Direct Input
I just picked up the amp sim. program Guitar Rig for my Pro Tools setup. I'm new to recording electric guitar by direct input, so can anyone give me any pointers?. I have a Digi 002, so do I just plug straight from the guitar into one of the 4 Digi002 input's that have a preamp?..
