Live Recording Ideas

Hey guys, so I am with a company that goes out with bands and records their sets to be sold once the show is over. As of right now we are using a MOTU 8 channel pre and that is it. I am looking for a few good ideas (with a limit on budget) that might be able to help boost the signal to a higher level so I dont have to worry about peaking out on my pres to get a good final product.

How Do I Make Live Recordings Sound Like Studio?

First off sorry if this is in the wrong place?

Now I'm just wondering is there anyway to make live recordings sound like studio recordings. Because i have a whole load of live recordings i want to make a clearer sound to. but I'm not sure how. is there any software or tips you could give me? it dosn't have to be perfect just cleaned up if you know what i mean?

Live Vocal Mic

I am a singer who would like to record myself performing in master-classes in a fairly small rooms and recital halls. I am usually singing either by myself or accompanied by piano. I will either plug the mic either into a recording adapter I got for my iPod or directly into my computer (macbook).

Live Vocal/Piano Recording Microphone

I am a college student who performs fairly often and I would like to buy a microphone which I can use to record myself. Usually I am in a fairly small room or recital hall, I am singing either by myself or accompanied by piano. I will either plug the mic either into a recording adapter I got for my iPod or directly into my computer (macbook).

Newbie - Mastering LIVE recording - echo, reverb, bass issue

Greetings,

Through a friend's suggestion, I have found my way to this forum to get a push in the right direction toward "cleaning-up / re-mastering" a LIVE U2 show that was recorded in the old Seattle Superdome. This venue is (was) a MASSIVE concrete structure, made for baseball and not a rock show. As a result, there is much "room noise" and "reverb / echo" present.
