hey everyone. wow, its been a while since i posted in here but here it goes. I was just wondering if there is any way to turn audio into midi. I would want to do this because i have a sample CD of amazing drum sounds and would like to put the CD in the mac and create midi files out of the clips so that i can go into my Pro Tools LE and use the midi grid but with my samples. Can i do this.

I have never really gotten into midi much except for the motif and mpc together, want to get into using the computer with pro tools and would like opinions on the best way to route my midi.

I'm trying to get all of my Midi gear to show up and work within Pro Tools and I am having trouble getting them to work. Here is my setup the way I have it configured. Sort of a Frankenstein job but I feel like it should work.

Hi All, I'm just reinstalling my pro tracks software on my Sony Vaio and have been trying to sort out this midi issue for hours. When I open the program a warning appears saying that no midi input devices have been selected and when I go to choose which midi inputs and outputs I want, the are no options in inputs and the only output option is 'Microsoft Midi Mapper'.

So I decided that I want to record all my drums using an electric kit. I also want to build my own out of Remo practice pads and piezo transducers connected to 1/4 female jacks.

I have my guitar wired through a direct box to convert my analog audio to DAC. Is there a way I can convert the DAC to Midi so that I can transpose the music to my guiatr pro 5 software?

I have a Motif rack, a Korg ms2000 rack, a Nord lead synth, a Yamaha an1x and an Akai mpc1000. Im trying to run it all into Pro Tools through my digi002. There are 2 midi outs and 1 midi in. What id like to do is have input from the Nord, An1x and Akai into the 002. Is that possible with only 1 input?

I want to extract midi notes from Drum Track Audio like Sonar 6 audio snap does but I was just curious if I could do the same thing in Cubase Sx with a plugging or something?
