A friend asked me if i can be their FOH man for a couple of gigs. I've been working in studios for a while now but I've never really did any live work.

At the moment i know that this club is "fully equipped" what ever that means...but i don't know how exactly..

It should be another thread about mixing stuff etc, but I've used search and didn't find any thread related to this speciffic matter...

I have Cubase SX3 and currently at the end of a 2 year music creation and mixing project of 9 compositional works using Symphonic Orchestra and Symphonic Choirs, and am ready for the mastering stage. I want a fresh set of ears listening to the work and have decided not to master it myself.

I hope I am in the right forum. I am new hear and don't have a lot of knowledge about this stuff just yet.

I will explain what I would like to do. I want to mix channels over a laptop so it's like a studio. I want to cover other peoples music, only without their voice, only their music. I want to dubb my voice in the songs to help me try and find my nature voice.

You have spent hours and put in your heart and energy into your music, so don't undermine your music in the mixing stage.
