Problem with Daisy Chaining MOTU Ultralite to External HDD
Hello brothers of sound, first of all, excuse my poor english.
MOTU Traveler Praise
I just wanted to give some credit where I haven't seen much...
I've been using the MOTU traveler for a couple of years, and I have yet to see another interface with so many options, except the v3HD (also from motu).
I think it is a bit expensive (not so expensive for 1, but a lot for 4). I'm waiting, with great anticipation, for the day it breaks $500.

MOTU 8pre - Will someone explain please...
Sorry for my noobishness, but I really have no idea what the hell ADAT is, and my MOTU 8pre has it/uses it. Normally I wouldn't care because I just use the 8Pre as a straight-up audio interface/preamp for mics when recording.

Pro Tools HD vs. MOTU HD
Hi, I was wondering, what's the difference between the Pro Tools HD system and the MOTU HD system, assuming were lloking at the 192 interfaces, why is MOTU su much cheaper, are the converters in the Pro Tools interface better, is the Pro Tools system better at signal processing? What's the deal?

Interface face-off...MOTU vs. PreSonus vs. Tascam: opinions?
This is a branch from my first post ("Yet Another Noob - interface questions")
Based on what I've read here, I've concluded that an audio interface is my next investment.
I don't mind starting with fewer inputs if I can expand later on by either adding another similar unit or additional preamps.
Pro Tools Digi002 or MOTU HD192 Digital performer?
I cannot afford to get Pro Tools HD, I need at least 24 analog out in order to mix outside the box on analog mixer and using outboard gear
so my question is, is MOTU HD as good or nearly as good as PTHD? or at least is it way better thatn using a Digi002?
Thank u so much!
Something better than MOTU 896HD
Well I've been using this for awhile now as my main source of preamps/AD/DA/Firewire connectivity and I've come to grow quite unhappy with the unit. The preamps dont sound to great, don't have much gain, the clocking is sketchy at the higher rates (which I rarely even use), and the inputs can get a bit noisy.

MOTU Hd or MOTU 24 I/O
I am in the process of upgrading my gear and have a few questions. I currently have a firepod and have been using it for a little over a year. Ive been very happy with it minus a few things. I also realize that although it's a good piece of gear its comes with it's limits. My goal is to buy some good D/A converters and gradually go from there.

MOTU larger than 828MKII vs. 24 version vs. PreSonus/ other ?
Hi, I am planning on buying a macbook pro soon, likely 17inch, upgrading to 7200 RPM, and maybe the 4 gigs of Ram option.
Eventually I'd like to be able to do some portable multitrack recording on it. I was reading up on tweaks guide and lots of other things I could find on the net. I have a question regarding the MOTU 828MKII 24/96 Audio Interface.
Mac Install Help... MOTU drivers and more
Ok here it goes.
I currently have a 2001 Mac G4 Digital Audio quicksilver with a MOTU 324 card paired with a MOTU 1224 and MOTU 24i interface. Nothing works now because:
1. my mac hard drive crashed and lost the original factory OSX system which USED to recognise and work well with the 324 card.
