I am a 1 man camera crew! (due to budget constraints)
I want to record some musicians(percussion and-or string-guitar) in a small enclosed space( a music store actually).

I was thinking of simply boom mounting a RODE NT4 stereo mic going straight into my Zoom H6.

Opinions? Would a good cardioid mic be a better choice?

By dynamics, I mean the type that musicians play, from soft to loud.

So how do I get that rock punch when the track has soft verses and loud choruses? On the chorus it's all good, I just set my compressors, etc., and the meters kick.

But on the verses, it's all below the threshold. Can't lower the threshold on the verses without squashing the loud choruses.

I wonder what you guys would have done in my situation.

A Hybrid Monitoring Feature

There seems to be a lot of confusion over how you would incorporate a 3 way hybrid (recording, mixing and mastering (finishing) system with one converter

Hi, i need something to create drum and bass sounds as background music for my guitar and vocals. Will the Maschine MK2 be good for this or it this more for DJs ?
