I'm using a RODE K2 and Peluso CEMC 6 to record a guitar in stereo thru my Sebatron into the Firebox and then into the powerbook.

I would like to make Hip-Hop(Jazz,Hardcore,90's, some Acid Jazz,DownTempo)Low Fi and Grit music is my fav.Is Sebatron hi-end preamp?Is it can help my music style? the sound color is effect by the Sebatron EQ? If I combine with other Compressor and Preamp, can I make different sound(Joemeek SC2.2 and JBL 7110 and Fasto, good?) Is it ok If I through the Mackie SR24-4 bus out to Sebatron ?

I record last weekend a choir with organ with a pair of Avenson mic direct in Sebatron vmp-2000, direct in RME Multiface, and this weekend an acodeon, the sound was very good, natural, full and rich, a good combination.

Besides the obvious...two channels on te veqc200, pre-amp on the Thorax...what are the specific differences between the Compressors on the two units?

I am looking very hard at Sebatron right now for either a dual Pre 2000e VU or the Thorax channel strip. I have not made up my mind yet what my goal is. My DAW is SAW and the comp's and EQ on the channels are very very good so i am leaning towards a dual pre.

Now that Ive spent some time using my Seb 2000e,Ive noticed that if I use it right after Ive fired it up,and all the components are at a cool range,it will give me a great tone,but as I keep using it,Ive noticed a slight change in tone,not a bad or distorted tone,but a different tone.
My question is----whats the lifes span of the tubes?
