So I have an 800 mhz G4 Mac where I used to have my Pro Tools digi002 and also Logic Platinum 6, haven't upgraded, yet.

I just bought a PC 3 ghz pentium 4 which is now the new home for my Pro Tools which of course was a lot more cheaper than upgrading to a mac G5 and i can mix very well on it.

What I want to do is sync my Mac with Logic to my PC with PT and have "the best of both worlds" .

I have an idea: Install a pci card on my Mac, like a wavecenter/pci from frontier design which has ADAT lightpipe and midi, and sync it via MTC from PT and sending 8 channels ADAT back into my digi002 opening 8 aux tracks on my PT session and having Logic's audio on those tracks, sounds pretty easy but i know there maybe sync problems, latency problems, etc.

So if anyone has any new, different and better ideas I would love to hear them?

p.d. I posted this on the "digital audio" forum but no one answered maybe here i can find some answers, thanx!

You need to get a midi interface for both computers..

Have PT transmit MTC out one of the midi ports on the mac and set the pc to receive MTC on whatever port you hook the midi cable to...
The set logic to be controlled by MTC.......make sure it's "online".....then hit play in PT and it should start playing logic.....
I'm not a logic user so I can't go into details..

The will take a few seconds to lock up..so you'll need some pre-roll...
