Hello,

Wondering if any PT users out there can give me advice as to using the Mo'Phatt 64 voice urban dance synth with my PTs 6.9.2. I have not been able to find any instructional on the net.

I would NOT be using it with midi.

How do I get hook it up & started?
What are its possibilities?
How do I bring it into an actual session on the PTs mix window?

As always here, thank you guys for your help~!

Don't you have the manual? You said that you are not using it with midi but the only way you will be able to get ProTools to recognize it is with Midi or Audio. So either you will need to use a keyboard hooked up by midi to the EMU Mo'Phatt or you will need to hook up the Emu directly to your Mbox or HD Accel card. Whichever the case may be. You can't edit or use the sounds otherwise.

Thanx for the replies~!

I don't have a manual, it was lost. On another forum, I was told I could go stereo 1/4 inch out left and right of the synth and into channels one and two on my PTs HD, so I'll be trying that in my next session.

I was just wondering if any PT folks out there have been working with it & what are the possibilities of the synth, especially for urban/dance music?

You still need to be able to control the patches somehow. So, that means either hooking it up to your mbox or HD Accel card or using an external midi controller. This is true regardless of what DAW you are using. Unless there is some magical way of controlling the synth from the front panel.

Here's the manual.
