I need a new volume wah combo. I've been using Morley for twenty years and its worn out. Its been a great pedel, smooth sweep and control plus simple. Maybe there are new designs I don't know about now. What do you recommend?

Is this for guitars or keys?
I had a LOT of problems with my Morely gear in the past. Their optical design tends to "jump". Ernie Ball volume pedals are by far the smoothest I have used. Havent tried their wah yet, it seems to be getting praise, though.
Wahs are so subjective to the style of music, the instrument, and the player. My fave is the Tech 21 Killer Wail, no longer made

Hi Dave,

good points! This is one of the reasons I have always used Morley. It's so true. Works on a light cell so no pot issues are happening either.
I can unplug the Morley and go direct to hear absolutely no signal change between clean. The sweep in my old Morley had no dead spots. Starts at zero and as you go forward it increases the envelop sweep with precision, smooth increments to 100. If you need to adjust the distance for your own personal foot taste, you can open up the box and adjust the amount of light that it needs to control the level. Its pretty cool.

I tried a Cry Baby a few years back and personally, didn't come close to a Morley. A few others I've tried as well, all used a pot attached to the pedel. You can feel the drag of the pot. That technology doesn't seem as good to me, both feel and tone.
I guess what I'm wondering now is, maybe another company has looked at all these angle of Morley and come up with something better that I'm not aware of yet.
