I downloaded a fully functional trial of Amplitude and can't get it to load up in Cubase. I go to the track insert and it's just not there. It works just fine in stand alone mode. I'm operating the 64 bit version of Cubase with Windows 7. I read somewhere that there were compatibility issues with plugins in 64 bit Cubase. Just wondering if that might be it?

I don't know if this will work or not but it is supposed to convert 32 bit to 64 bit for plugs, there is a demo version probably worth a try.

Thanks jg49. I read about that in sound on sound and downloaded it but for me it was really complicated to use. When you open the app you have to assign it to the files you want to convert and I couldn't figure that part out. This is a bit frustrating. The Cubase I'm using is a demo as well and I'm getting ready to upgrade. I don't want to be running into these problems all the time, but at the same time I don't want to stay in the 32 bit world when I purchase new plugs cause I want them to last for a few years.

The never ending battle for truth, justice and the American way. It's endless isn't it, whether it's the latest drivers for Win 7, Vista, the latest Mac OS, 64 bit, the last upgrade version of whatever software and on and on and on. I feel like every time I boot up my computer I spend half hour updating Windows, Java, Adobe, Norton, I got to friggin' reboot four times before I can go on the internet. Now we will have to wait for every plugin to issue 64 bit apps? What then next week 128, 256......? All in the name of a faster mouse (trap), I don't really think my life is so new and improved that I can't stand it.

I don't know anything about jbridge, maybe someone who has found it useful could chime in.

I think Amplitube 3 may work. It's being packaged with something called the "Stealth Pedal" - which is an interface that basically looks like a wah pedal. Anyway, the specs say the Stealth Pedal works with any 64 bit DAW. So I'm assuming (hypothetically of course) the software will too. It won't be released for a couple of weeks yet so it can't be demoed.
