Does anyone have, or can anyone recommend, a unit that already has an attenuator on it?

They suggested the Roland SDE 3000, or theTC2290.
Also one guy on the post talks about the "brute force" method of analog drum triggering and the hardships of it.
Another guy on the same post says "I do it analog all the time with no problem".
I am trying to trigger drums from pre-existing drum tracks. My problem is that the tigger is re-triggering the kick drum several times, and it sounds like a fake machine gun sound (not a cool sound).
Kev said to install an attenuator in front of the signal.
Does anyone have anything to add? This includes you too Kev as well (thanks for all the help so far bro!)

Gate, Attenuator, DIY box or whatever.
Since I'm still new with the whole "trigger" and "midi" issue. I have another question also.
When I'm recording the next time, I'm gonna use 2 mics on the kick drum and I'm gonna buy some triggers for the DM Pro.
When I set up the trigger on the bass drum, how do I record that signal? Does it go directly to my hard drive recorder?
Reason for asking is because this might keep me from having to deal with this issue in the future.

and if you do have some Analog Gates lying around ... then do give them a go.
Drum sound at line level
Split to Gate and trim for a very gated impulse blip sound ... over gated
this will remove the cross trigger for other drums ... I hope
Use the output level control to lower the level to suit the D4 or DMPro
now the triggers inputs of the above should be happy
Good gates can sometimes have more control than just the Trigger interface
I still think a simple DIY interface will do
20 or 50k pot across pins 2 and 3 of the recorder output
wipper and say the pin3 connection off to a 6.5 mm phone
one at a time ... Kick
trim for just short of Midi level 127 during a midi record.
this sets the loudest kick into the trigger interface
now trim the TI for no ghost kicks
IF
you still get ghosts, it could be all about cross-triggering from toms and snare
only gates or DAW-gates can solve this.
The later Drum Triggers do have decent cross-trigger controls ... look in the manual to see if you have this.
