A couple of weeks ago I had to upgrade from a 4 track Tascam Portastudio 414mk2 cassette to a Tascam DP03 digital recorder because I couldnt find new blank cassettes and I dont use ebay. So,I upgraded.Brought a brand new DP03.I have it set up with:
Roland RD700sx stage piano,
Roland KC350 amp and a
mic with XLR plug.
I use it so I can just play and sing anytime.I dont play professionally.
At bfirst I plugged in the headphones and instructions to listen to the demo song. Then I hooked up the piano and mic.I can just play and sing whenever I want.

I wanted to start practicing recording on it.I need to learn. So I followed the instructions as per handbook. When I tried to record all I got was drums.I dont know why.I troied to figure out how to disengage the drums so I can practice recording but it isn't happening.I dont know what to do.If you are familiar with this could you please take me through the process to get to recording?

Thanks.

Chris.
