I have a Yamaha CP70-B electric grand which is in need of repair. Does anyone know of any piano techs in the US that may have experience with these instruments.

Any advice appreciated.

Nate,

Australia my friend :) .

This piano is owned by a close friend and I have it stored here in our "studio". Unfortunately, the owner's husband had a little accident that caused 14 hammer shafts to break............that was a couple of years ago and I subsequently managed to get the last 3 available hammers from Yamaha.

This is really a long shot, but maybe someone, somewhere knows of a tech, etc who may have dismantled some of these pianos at times and who just may still have some second hand parts.

It probably will be easier for me to manufacture some new shafts, but I can live in hope.

Nate,

Much appreciated.

I have been sitting on this problem for ages and decided to post the query while it was still on my mind, so there really is no great panic.

I was thinking of offering to buy the piano "as is", but it would be helpful to know if there is a source for these parts first.

Will keep in touch.
