I am a newbie so a little help would be appeciacted. I am setting a little home recording room to record acoustic guitar and vocals. I will be using condenser mics on my acoustics, but thought I might also plugin my pickup. It is an active pickup, a D-Tar multisource. I not sure if it should go to a line input or a Hi-z.

I selected this software based on a thread here on RO from a year or two ago related to virus scans, and backups. pcrecord said this was what he personally uses, and i trust his ears, and knowledge in the computing area.

Anyone here have exp w/this?

Hi, new here. Question about recording. I am all analog. Using a Yamaha MC2404 as my main console with various inputs. Live mics for my daughters band, various tape decks and turntable for music input. I want to connect this mixer to another one to use as a recording console. I have a Yamaha MC802 Fostex 450 and a Behringer SL2442FX and want to record to various tape decks and CD.

Is there anyway I could synchronize Tascam HS-P82 with Sound Devices Mixpre-6 during recording, so that the audio tracks would be in sync for mixing.

I have never worked with syncing, so my question may be naive, but maybe somebody has some actual experience and could share his/her knowledge.

No longer care what SC does, finished with them, you know why, never EVER again!.

I could be right or wrong but at present I don't blame Soundcloud or any mp3 for that matter for swirly transients and spacial corruption (stereo compression artifacts) we hear. I think Soundcloud compression (possible any MP3 compression simply exposes (the bad in a mix) more.
