i finally picked up the computer that will become my daw. the only thing keeping it from being one now is it's only got a sb live in it. either way, it's all i have for a few weeks so let's get to the real problem.

Session starting in a couple hours. But my monitor mixer 1604VLZpro has developed a nasty problem. It's as though there may be a cold solder or dirty connection somewhere across the mix L/R bus. The right channel goes away completely and left is very low in level. But a loud plosive sound though a mic will bring both channels back to full level.

I have tested TC helicon prisma plus and Waves Mechanics PitchBlender (on PT). I didnt have chance to hear EVENTIDE H-3000 ... Please tell me what is a difrence between those efects, if there is?

I am looking for good multi fx!

I bought this unit on Dec 22,2001. It worked well for about 3 wks. Then I started getting "recorder busy" signals, had a hard time burning CDs. Now it is in the shop-possibly with a bad hard drive. Once I learned how to navigate the unit I really enjoyed it. The sound quality is great.

i'm really close to buying my setup now hopefully next week.

I've opened Pandoras box>. Will this upgrade sell more records than before. No, but it will be fun getting new stuff to play with! I'll probable wait untill all the 3ed party company's issure their HD upgrade paths. I do think the reason the DH isn't backward compatable is because of pirated software.

I'd like to go out on a limb here and make a prediction. I believe that the reccent release of Pro Tools HD at the winter NAMM is just the opening salvo in the launch of PT HD.
