Stupid mastering studio question..
I've never actually been in a "real" mastering studio--my only link to them being somewhere that I FedEX a CD to and a couple of weeks later get a CD back that sounds a whole heck of a lot better. I have seen many of photos of notable mastering facilities in the likes of Mix magazine and others that make me curious about one thing...

Need a place to master some tunes.
Ok.
Back in my girlfriends high school daze (3 years ago) she was involved in the school choir which really kicked butt! They did a tour through Canada and had one of their performances recorded in an old church...really low budget. My girlfriend no longer sings but holds this music close to her heart (She cries when she listens to it).

Mastering question
If we plan on getting our 4 song demo mastered but we are doing the recording and mixing ourselves, what should we do and NOT do to give the mastering engineer the most flexibility when working with our material?

What's White Noise?
Hi, just wondered what white noise is and if there is any relevance to recording... I've heard the phrase being used "insert some white noise into the mix" what is this all about?

I do the mastering of my home projects in wavelab. how is the converters in it? should i record in 48k and dither down at the end, or should I stick to 44.1?

Help! Vinyl mastering and money problems...
Hi, I produce beats for, and perform on Turntables in, a three piece band called Belleruche. We are just about to press our first seven inch (On a very low budget in the UK), and as a result of our singers Austrialian contacts we've had the first side mastered in Australia.
