Record noise removal (quiet passages) using Adobe Audition

Hello all, I realise this problem may be posted somewhere else, but as a "non technical" person, I can't see any discussions that fit. Basically I find it hard to remove background noise (surface crackle, scratch etc) from quiet passages in Classical music LP to WAV conversion. LPs are in VGC.

Group Project 8-)

While i was reading a 500 pages manual and adjusting tape guides today i thought about... is it time to make a new group project?

Does anybody have a good idea?
If we do a song/number again then why not bring on the artist's opinion of the different results?

...And let's have Don and Thomas with os this time... if they dare? 8-)

Best Regards

Brian Wilson "Smile" vinyl listening party

I'm in the process of arrainging a date in early November to invite Recording.ORG members to Masterdisk in NYC for a listening party. We will be checking out the vinyl from "Smile".

I'd like to get a rough idea of the amount of interest in this. If you'd like to come over, please post a quick comment on this topic heading. I'll announce a confirmed date as soon as possible.
