Situation: Having all the tracks mixed, i made some "preview" files, trying to figure it out if there's any problems with panning, mono listening, and i really don't know which way is better to mix. There's always "something" happening about the imaging.

I was just wondering if I could master my own album with a cassette tape, my audigy card, and a 1/4 to XLR mic cable? I don't have a cassette player, and my computer is broken. what should I do in this situation?

I'm attempting to setup a recording/mastering studio at my church. We currently have a Yamaha 01v96 digital board running 32 tracks.

My thoughts were to purchase an Alesis HD24 to record the audio and then master the audio on a PC. My question is, is there a better way of doing this and if not, what all-purpose audio software would you recommend?

I would like to know if anyone has come across this type of problem, and how to
fix it, if it's fixeable...

We were doing a recording session when mains power was suddenly shut off by
accident. This was a live gig and a previous track of 12 hours was recorded, as
well as a new track which had about 20 or so hours accumulated when power
failed.
