ready for mastering
ok, I've got all my final mixes ready to be burned on discs. What I need to know is...do I burn them as data files? they are 24 bit wave files. I know to burn them as Disc-at-Once. And what are ISRC codes...Do I need to write them down for the ME? (I read somewhere that I do). Also, I use Nero for burning my projects and am deciding to burn at 2x or 4x.

overall mix at -6 db or 0 db?
what should the highest peaks in the mix hit at. -6 or 0 db?
right now I have my peaks hitting at 0 db and was told by another friend to have the peaks hitting at -6 db. What should I do, remix the tracks or send in to the ME what I have already?
Thanks for the help.

Short run CDR duplication questions
I run a small budget minded studio. I'm considering purchasing one of these automated CD burners that also does the on-disc printing for short runs of 100 or so. Is there anything I should know about these duplicators? How reliable are the CDRs that are burned by these machines? Thanks for your help

Whatever happened to BennyG and Brad Blackwood?
I was on another forum and an old thread got bumped... There was BennyG.
He seems to have fallen off the planet around the new year (2005). Web site down, no posts anywhere...
smile eq - what frequencies?
I've read loads of people explaining that the highs and lows need to be boosted for the mix to sound louder (I've grasped the psycho-acoustic theory behind this) my question is, what frequencies?
Is an overall smile curve ok? Should I invest in an Exciter? Should I eq the seperate tracks this way before mixdown?
...Help!

Using CD Architect, how to get song titles to appear?
I hope this isn't a redundant or silly question, but how do you get the song titles to appear say in Windows media player, etc. What is the process? Also how do you get an image of the CD cover to appear. I use CD Architect for the finalizing and CD burning.
Thanks,
LRG
High Quality Blank CDR Media
Does anyone know a good place to get high-quality blank CDR media suitable for audio masters? Any idea what a good price to pay per disc might be?

soundBlade.CD ?
We're beginning to see a trickle of information from Sonic Studio about their new CD prep software, soundBlade.CD for Mac OS X. It's apparently being previewed at AES in Barcelona this weekend.
