M audio Nova mic?
Anyone have an experience with this mic? I have an option to get this mic for free, or a Shure sm58slc. I know the Shure is a good choice but wasnt sure if anyone had feed back on the nova.

Mics for recording - $200 budget
I plan on recording myself on vocals, cello, acoustic guitar, maybe conga and tambourine with a Tascam 40GB 8 track. I'm seriously considering just getting two Shure 57s off ebay.
I'm also considering upright piano, but I'd need more than two mics for that, right? Thanks a lot in advance for any advice.

Microphone
Well, I spent all the money I had, and bought what I want. My next purchase will be microphone. Want to give you an idea what my studio looks like to avoid advice's of 1000+ mics, I have a dead room(roughly 12x12x6.5) where i record and a control room(9x9x8) upstairs, I run the snake from one room to another. I recorded several people for the money, but they all were friends of friends.
