RODE NT1A?
Hi all, I hear a lot of differing opinion about this microphone.
Some really like the mic and some don't. Some call it crystal clear and I have
heard some suggest that it is thin and harsh sounding.
I guess I need to hear one for myself but I would like some owners of this mic to let me know their opinions.
Thanks

Mic choice for vocals between tele/neuman or other
Hi,
Legend Microphones
Hi! Just wondering whether any of you guys have came across a Legend Microphone - they don't seem to be well advertised. They're more or less like MXL, and they come pretty cheap, but to me they feel more solid and slightly more professional than MXL microphones. In AUS dollar, the Legend 5 Large Diaphragm mike is just 100 bux, and it sounds really professional.

Looking for all-around Mic recommendations
Hi everyone.
I'm interested in purchasing a mic for home recording purposes that is good for a wide variety of things. I'm mostly recording Vocals, Small Percussion (shakers, tambourines, etc.), and Acoustic Guitar. Any recommendations? My budget is in the $200 range.
I've been using a Shure BG 2.1 that was a gift, but as my ears are learning I've noticed it sounds thin.

what pair of mic's would you buy?
i'm in a bit of a dilemma: i want a pair of microphones, but don't know what to get. I currently have an at-4050 and a RODE nt2-a and, as much as i would like a matched pair, if i could get one of these microphones slightly used then i should be fine for right now. if you could pick a pair of these two microphones, which would you pick?

Mic Selection
Hello everyone,
Just stumbling across this site, I am half tempted to make it my new Homepage. :-)
I did a search and came up empty so I apologize if it is a cross post. I also apologize as I am not sure exactly where this question fit with the vast topic choices. So:

Best budget mic choices
Hello,
I'm new here and have taken my time to read many posts before asking my question.
I have done plenty of live sound over the years, but don't know much about recording. I'm wanting to record myself and some friends - mostly acoustic / folk-rock / celtic, but one guy likes to do electronic and I figure he'll be in the "studio" (if it ever earns that name) at some point.

So why do you buy a stereo pair/matched mics?
Really...for what kind(s) of applications? I'm new, so I don't know.
Furthermore, why would you NOT buy them?
Thanks.
Not happy with my RODE NT1-A
I tried it with all my pres and it seems to sound better with the Summit 2BA-221 over the UA LA 610 and Great River.
Not that I have a good singing voice, but the other pres don't seem to like the RODE.
Opinions on a better for me mic?
Any experience with Studio Projects mics?
