RODE NT1A?

Forums

Hi all, I hear a lot of differing opinion about this microphone.

Some really like the mic and some don't. Some call it crystal clear and I have
heard some suggest that it is thin and harsh sounding.

I guess I need to hear one for myself but I would like some owners of this mic to let me know their opinions.

Thanks

Legend Microphones

Forums

Hi! Just wondering whether any of you guys have came across a Legend Microphone - they don't seem to be well advertised. They're more or less like MXL, and they come pretty cheap, but to me they feel more solid and slightly more professional than MXL microphones. In AUS dollar, the Legend 5 Large Diaphragm mike is just 100 bux, and it sounds really professional.

Looking for all-around Mic recommendations

Forums

Hi everyone.

I'm interested in purchasing a mic for home recording purposes that is good for a wide variety of things. I'm mostly recording Vocals, Small Percussion (shakers, tambourines, etc.), and Acoustic Guitar. Any recommendations? My budget is in the $200 range.

I've been using a Shure BG 2.1 that was a gift, but as my ears are learning I've noticed it sounds thin.

what pair of mic's would you buy?

Forums

i'm in a bit of a dilemma: i want a pair of microphones, but don't know what to get. I currently have an at-4050 and a RODE nt2-a and, as much as i would like a matched pair, if i could get one of these microphones slightly used then i should be fine for right now. if you could pick a pair of these two microphones, which would you pick?

Best budget mic choices

Hello,
I'm new here and have taken my time to read many posts before asking my question.
I have done plenty of live sound over the years, but don't know much about recording. I'm wanting to record myself and some friends - mostly acoustic / folk-rock / celtic, but one guy likes to do electronic and I figure he'll be in the "studio" (if it ever earns that name) at some point.
