Secondary electric guitar mic options?
Hey all, I have (of course) an SM-57 and a 58, but have been curious about getting another mic to compliment the 57 since I use it primarily for electric guitar. I've considered the CAD Trion 7000 and the Sennheiser 421 so far with having heard good reports about both. A common description is that they fatten things up, and we all love fat, right?

Suggestions for Bi-directional microphone
I've been interested in recording using the Stereo Mid-sides technique... However, no one I know owns a Bi-directional microphone, and nor do I. I tried it with 3 mics (all caridiod, one facing forward, the other 2 in a figure 8 pattern 180 degrees - as a bi-directional mic would pick up). It works well. But it creates a clutter of cords and stands.

How to build a budget mic cabinet
Alright, for those of you who may already know me I kind of got off to a bad start on here, but uh, I need some advice...so...I don't know, don't like me then don't post.
Now that I've actually used and heard some of the mics I've been looking at, well, I'm open to more suggestions. Alot more.

I am a relative newcomer to the field of recording and hope you can help with some questions I have:
What's the ADK GT2 tube mic like?
Hi. Has anyone tried the ADK GT2mk2 mic? My local music store has reduced the price on it and am wondering if it would be a good addition to my collection :-
RODE NT-1a
MXL V67g
Studio Projects B1
T.Bone RM700 (ribbon)
Thanks

Shure mic and x-ray machines
I will be taking all my stuff on the airplane back home in a couple days. Is my mic at risk of damage if it were run through the machine? I assume it would.

condensor mic pairing
I have an interesting question.
I have an AKG C460B condensor mic. I would like to get another one to make a pair.
Now would it be better to buy 2 other condensor mics of lower quality (my funds are limited) or buy another of the same. The AKG is in very good condition and has not seen a lot of action. It stayed in a house.
