Best condenser mic for $100?
I'm looking to buy a condenser mic, and I've noticed there are quite a bit of condensers for $99.99 or less. What would be the best choice out of these?
I'm looking to use it for vocals, etc.
Thanks!

I just found 3 mics in my closet...are they worth anything?
Not in a monetary sense, more of a quality sense. I just found them and remembered that they were given to me a looooong time ago (long enough that I've forgotten) by my brother. He got them in some weird/shady trade or something.
None the less, nothing of the online research has been favorable so far, so I thought I'd ask about them here.
They are:

Microphone left in the cold
So i was parked outside today for a good 6-7 hours and I left one of my microphones (MXL V63M Condenser) in the car. It happens to be the coldest weekend all year in Chicago this week, and its below zero the whole time. So i just got home, and noticed my mic sitting in the car freezing cold. Is this going to mess up my microphone?

Difference Between Mic Line and Instrument Channels
Hey,
I've got a question about every interface I see. They all seem to have both Mic Inputs (XLR) and instrument inputs (1/4 In.) Whats the difference between them? For example. I've got a Firepod with 8 inputs. 1-2 are instrument/mic, 3-8 are mic line ins. They all have XLR / 1/4in jacks so why can't they all be instrument/mic inputs?
Thanks
Mic for recording limited voice
I have a RODE nt1a which I have found to be OK, nothing special. It seems to pickup what's happening in the next room better than my voice.
I have a very midrange limited voice. I do not consider myself a vocalist more of a stylist...LOL.
But I can sing the songs I write.

Stereo mix not showing up on Vista + mic hiss problem
I have Windows Vista and I tried recording from the stereo mix on Audacity and fruity loops. I tried looking around different websites and none of them have seem to have found a solution to my problem. I right clicked the volume icon and selected recording devices then I right clicked and selected "Show disconnected and disabled devices" still nothing shows up except the microphone. :(
Recording with Macbook Pro, AKG C2000B, & MicPort Pro
First of all, will I be okay with this setup as far as the soundcard goes? The Centrance Micport Pro will be my USB interface, but I'm assuming the soundcard that comes standard on the 15" Macbook Pro is pretty decent?
Help with mixer and mic selection with recording program?
I have recently acquired the now discontinued SeaSound Soloist and rigged it up with XP drivers.
