Cheaper ebay mics
Are these mics on ebay the real deal?
They all seem to be $200/300 and even more cheaper than many shops?

Vocal Compressors, Microphones
What are your favorite of each, for maybe around $100 each? I don't have a problem with Behringer and I don't want to go too crazy especially because I'll be having this in my dorm room.
I already have -> Firepod, SM57, and AT2020 for microphones. I want just one more mic and a vocal compressor so I can play + sing at the same time and have a more leveled out vocal track.

Need suggestions on microphones
I have a small home studio, MAC running Pro-Tools LE and I'm looking for a good vocal microphone for under $300.00. I currently have a Shure SM57,
two Samson C02's and a MXL diaphragm condenser mic. Most of the recordings are in the classic rock to acoustic stuff. Any suggestions on a good vocal mic?
Thanks!

Shure SM57 Drum Mics
Im looking to start a studio sometime in the near / distant future. I was looking into getting the Shure SM57 drum mic kit, and I was hoping to get some opinions on the kit. I've done some reviews on the kits as is, and they seem to be pretty popular, but I was hoping to get the opinions of some seasoned veterans.
Any input would be greatly appreciated :)

Micing suggestions
Hi I am starting work on some recordings for a friend soon and I am looking for some Micing suggestions regarding a beyer m-160 ribbon mic
The stuff we will be working on is acoustic guitar and vocals mainly. A kind of slightly folky slight nick cave kind of feel. The guitar is mainly fingerpicking so its not too loud. We will be recording the vocals separately.

Looking for small stereo mics for MD recording.
Hey guys!
Just got myself a new portable MD recorder. One of the reasons was also to do some basic field recording. What I would like is a fairly decent microphone, to do some quality recordings. Looking at a budget of $100. (but if it's REALLY good, I might stretch it)
After some research I found the following main options:
ideal speaker/driver to use as microphone for low end?
Hey all,
was just wondering what would be the best type of speaker/driver to use as a microphone to capture kick drum. Hi-fi type driver (traditionaly softer) or a firmer type, like a PA speaker and the like?
Was thinking a 10 or 12 inch, again, open to suggestions!
cheers,
SammyG
