Do people in the industry often switch brands? What are the top reasons that would make you switch to another brand?
(After all, we generally stick with what we like.. )

Mics that cost $500+
Why do people buy microphones at $500 or above? Looking for some feedback on whether there is really a sound quality difference, or is it mainly for the prestige (or other reasons).

RODE NT1 problem
Hello, I've been using a Behringer B-1 for recording vocals for the past few years but some time ago, I invested in a RODE NT-1 which had been recommended by many. I'm sure it's an excellent microphone but I am having two regular problems with it.
First, there are 'pops' everywhere - beginning words especially but also in silent parts between lines.

Recommend me a microphone
I'm looking to get a microphone for general home podcast/commentary use. I'm a male with about an average tone voice, but I sound kinda nasaly on my microphone. I've got a mechanical keyboard so I'm thinking a dynamic microphone would be best, but I'd like to hear your thoughts as it's not necessary to me. I'd only like to spend around $200.

Blue Yeti Mic - Fuzzy audio?
Hello,
I do video game commentary on YouTube and I purchased a Blue Yeti mic sometime back. It's quality is much better than my previous mics but doesn't sound anywhere near as good as a lot of other Blue Yeti mics I've heard.

My daughter's wedding ceremony overhead mics
My daughter asked me to help out with her outdoor wedding. Among other things she needs me to do, I need to mic the minister and the happy couple. I don't have lavalieres and don't want to mess with cordless rigs. I'll be running the mics through a Mackie vlz pro 16, using the mixer pres.
Zoom H6 with external condenser mics
Hello,
I'd like to ask if anyone already tried the new Zoom H6 with 4x external condenser mics. There is also possibility to detach the Zoom mic and replace it with another 2x XLR/TRS inputs. I'm wondering if the 4 AA bats inside could handle 6x phantom power for external condenser mics, let's say 6mA current consumption each... and how's the quality of such a preamp.

About to return the Blue Yeti. Need suggestions for settings (or alternate mic)
Hi all. I am really new to the world of microphones and I'm overwhelmed after reading for a few hours. I need a microphone to simply sit on my desk and record spoken voice. I also need a zero latency headphone monitor jack on the mic. Ideally this will be a mic in the $100ish price range and USB. If I have to spend more, convince me why!
