Hello everyone. I have a few questions on interfaces. Im looking into getting an interface, and keep hearing people giving mixed reviews on a few of these. Just want to know the best way to go.

PreSonus Firepod- I know the previous version of this just sucked, and the firepod is the new and improved version. It has really solid eureka preamps.

I am going to take part in a production of Purcell's "Dido and Aeneas" in a few weeks. I am involved as theorbo player and as I am also doing recordings on a regular basis I was asked to produce a (noncommercial memorial) CD of the event. As I have to play also I want to keep the setup as simple as possible.

this afternoon i'm getting my new guitar,a b c rich mockingbird 40 lashes and my dimarzio x2n..
i want to know how i should wire my pup to get maximum tone,like slayer,slipknot,lamb of god etc. .. is it enough if i take out the BDSM and plug the wire into the dimarzio ?
please give me some tips for that coz i don't have a pro to do that ..

If anyone knows how Adam Jones got such a great tone on Lateralus and how he gets such a great tone live. .Please enlighten me!

I'm mainly trying to figure out what he uses for distortion. whether it's a pedal or amp dist.

my bassist has an ampeg B2-R head and a 1X15 classic cab. he is wanting to get a good solid punk bass sound out of it. somewhat on the mid range side of things with clarity to make hot bass licks shine through.

the EQ bands are (+/- 12dB): 40, 80, 150, 300, 600, 900, 2k, 5k, 8k

and hes running a fender P bass 4 string through it (passive).

Do you guys recommend the use of External Hard DRives? Whats a good 160 Gig external hard drive? What should i look for?
