after twisting and contorting my spine into all sorts of positions rewiring hookups behind my rack, I think it's time to invest in a patchbay.

Mackie Control
Forums
I'm seriously interested in a Mackie Control but I have a major question first. I do all my monitoring through an external desk, a Mackie D8b to be precise. Because I do this I have my buffer set to 2048 as latency isn't an issue and I get more out of my computer out of my computer. I can't remember the exact figure of latency but it is roughly 48 ms.

Can PatchMix DSP be used on 2 Emu Cards
Forums
I have both the 1820m and the 0404 digital audio cards, running Cubase SX2.x. Is it possible to use the PatchMix app on both cards, installed on the same system. Or do I have to except the fact that the 0404 cards needs to be decommissioned.
Anyone know?

Going direct
Forums
Well I have been toying with PTLE for a couple years now. I think I have come to the conclusion that bass and guitar sound better recorded direct. with stuff like the GT8 and Voice tonelabs and 24bit stereo tracks and sansamp its hard to screw up. Most you guys record direct, or Amps? If amps, then how many mics/tracks. Big amps or smaller ones?

Sweaty Headphones
Forums
I own a pair of Sennheiser HD-280s and they work very well. Everything is fine except that my ears get extremley hot and sweaty, and this is very uncomfortable.
I would like to know how people usually deal with this problem, or if I am the only hot-eared wierdo on the forum.
Thanks.
