The Echo Layla3g Audio Interface is at least $100 less then their new
Firewire version (AudioFire8).

I dont have a portable need for Firewire. Is there some technical reason to
stay with PCI?. Does the PCI version use less CPU overhead then a Firewire
would?

Any thoughts?

Is anyone sucsessfully using any aardvark product with an athlon 64 set up?
If so what chipset are you using?
Since aardvark is out of business I have been unable to find this info.
Perhaps I will be the first to try it.

I have a friend with a DDA S-Series Console about 10-12 years old and its in mint condition. I was wondering if anyone has heard this board or had any experience with it. How are the pres, eqs, etc on it. He is thinking about selling it and I was wondering if it was a good buy.

What would be a fair price for it in mint condition.

hi guys, i've been considering the practical things in the studio i'm setting up, and have come to wonder about how to get (at least 2) headphone mixes out of my monitor controller (which may be a PreSonus central station or a Crane Song avocet).

I recorded some tracks using pro tools and bounced them out to disk so that I could listen to a rough mix of what I had while I wrote some lyrics. My problem is that when I play the tracks through my monitors they sound fine (panned left/right), but when I go to play the same tracks on my discman the sound is all mono on the left speaker of the headphones.

Hi, in this particular song, there is a guitar solo on that last chorus, and i ve tried anything but i can't fit it well in the mix, any tips about mixing solos ? :) ( the solo is at the center, and rythm guitars panned right and left )
