I'm not very good at electronics or digital but a doubt came to my head when i was going over some material right now.

In analog gear, whenever you use an eq etc, you change the phase, backwards or forward, of the voltage or of the current because of what inductors etc do to the signal running through it.

Just got a slight problem.
Wondering whether anyone has any ideas as to the cause of it.
Whenever I record in 44k i get a large wave signal in nuendo, but when i switch to 96k the wave is 1/4 the size of the 44k wave and barely audible.
Any advice?

Hi, what methods do you use to align phase to avoid phase problems?

I tried some plugins, but I prefer always to spend more time placing the mics correctly to avoid phase problems, but sometimes they're very difficult to remove...

If you use plugins, What kind of plugins do you use?

I have the 2496 installed in my comp and it was working fine...yesterday I had a new hard drive installed in my comp and now windows xp will not recognize the soundcard as installed. is there anything I can do before I uninstall the card and re-install it?

ps-the card does not show up in my device manager. any help would be appreciated. .thanks in advance

I have a (don't laugh) ROLLS 8ch line mixer which I use for my various synths - into my soundcard. For the price, it's well built and very quiet...plus one sends in/out.

The problem is I like to make my own cables. But the 1/4" mono jacks on this unit are too close together for me to use my fav. Neutrik plugs (NP2C). they crowd eachother, and will not fit.

I recently picked up a Firepod. I took a chance since I couldn't find any reviews. I had a Firestation for a while so you know why I was hesitant to buy.

From my understanding. this card will work with cool edit pro or adobe audition if it has the MME card. i think the delta comes with the driver but i'm not sure. i have a link that gives a discription of it. i think it does but i wanna make sure. Also...how the hell do i hook up a mixer to this and can it be more then a 8 track mixing board?
