Wondering if anyone has had the opportunity to test the True Precision 8 Preamp. I have heard good things about them. Kurt do you have any knowledge of them?

Sorry if this post overlaps others which are similar (some even recently by me), but I need some feedback from the mastering brains on the purchase of a hardware limiter (or compressor/limiter) for my studio.

For me, it's now down to a choice between a plugin /dsp suite (probably UAD-1 Studio) or one of the following hardware pieces:

Im very curiouse about all this analog stuff I keep reading. I read in an article that a lot of short budget pro's are tracking to digital and then mixdown to an analog reel 2 reel and then back into the DAW to add more warmth, punch and depth to the music.

I recently got an emu 1212 and when i run the packaged cubasis vst, it works fine. however when i run nuendo, the wave is recorded and visible, but doesnt playback and when i run Cubase the meters reflect what I'm playing but nothing gets recorded...going insane here!
Any advice would be much appreciated! :oops:

I just bought a MPX 110 FX (Lexicon) for vocal use and have this slightest problem.
In ALL the presets containing a ROTARY effect (including "Special FX";Variation 5), I see a weird phenomenon:
When using the "Adjust" knob or "Effects Lvl/Bal" knob,the "Edit" LED flickers (should only light) as if connected to
some internal oscillator (malfunction?)

What do you think of the costs of A/D converters? Do you think cost really does represent the true value of them? Also if so or if not, which converters do you like or dislike?

I don't know the name of his producer but the musician is DAvid Crowder... and I think he has mastered recording, the balance of certain tracks L/R and the volume just everything it's quite good... I would recommend you checking some of his music/recordings out... it's under a christian music genre and it is by far the best christian recordings I have ever heard.
