The offer I've been working for...and now I SCARED!
Forums
I've been recording for a couple years now...personal projects and high school aged bands. I recently got back in touch with a band my old band used to play with, and they started a video production company. One of the members manages bands. They are doing awesome work on music videos, skateboarding videos..etc.

Mbox Recording Rap Vocals
Forums
I just got an MBox for PC and I got a MXL V67 mic. Whats the best way to record rap vocals? What are the best levels as some of my instrumentals come in close to 0db? Do I need an additional mic preamp/comps or are the Focusrite pre's and plugins good enough? Also, I want the vocals to "sit" in the mix well.

helpfull Recording curriculum?
Forums
well, here's the deal... since there aren't any topics on recording curriculums or aids, I thought there should be. I am very interested in getting more into the business since I have my own original music and can't afford a recording studio...

Computer system MUCH better than Multitrack Recorder?
Forums
Howdy everyone,
New to the forum but not recording. Unfortunately, I come from the pre-existing multitrack recording studios from wayyy back. Every recording device I have ever owned was a multitrack recorder from the cassette porta-04 studio to my current Roland digital 8-track.
DAV BG1 and SOS reviews
Forums
Hi Everyone,
I'm curious about the DAV BG1 pre. I've heard some great things about it, and it's not ludicrously expensive. I read elsewhere that it's absolutely glorious with a Shure KSM-44 on vocals. I hope I got the mic name right; anyhow it's the multi-pattern retro looking one.

reviews of the Delta 1010LT!
Forums
8-) I've been researching the 1010LT PCI card and was wondering if the 96kHz will be obsolete any time soon? I thought that CDs were at 44.1 so if this is true... how long do you think it will take for producers to start at anything higher? not that it really matters to me since I'm just an independent musician... it just got me thinking before I purchase this card...

Bright Acoustic Guitar Sound...
Forums
Hey All --
Im about to record a piece that has some acoustic guitar in it, and i want it to sound nice and bright with barely any low end.. like most commercial tunes..
I only have a Neumann TLM 103 to mic it...
Where abouts should i place the mic to get this type of sound?
Or should i mic the middle and just EQ it afterwards?
Thanks!

Question about a Boss Dr Rhythm DR-3 drum machine
Forums
I'm using this machine right now and I really like the sounds and how easy it is to use it, but I was wondering if it is possible to loop the drum patterns without hearing the metronome sound because when I record with the metronome on, the metronome sound is also recorded.
Thanks
