ok, so after searching around and comparing and listening to opinions, etc, etc, etc... Ive narrowed down to some near-field monitors(in this order):
Dynaudio BM6A
Genelec's 1030A's
KRK V8's

I got an idea for my live room, The ceiling and floor are wood, the walls are brick. What if I covered all the walls with plywood?

stop pops. .for example, I know for the p's and b's in words like "pop" or "bump" I would cut in the 60hz area but how about for the q's and k's for words like "quiet" or "kill"? any help would be appreciated

hi, I'm a newbe to daw's and have been asked to help setup our church's sys to record CD's, because i know a little about computers.
so i have been researching what i can, when i have time, on the net about recording and finding this awsome site i need to ask you all for advice.

I'm thinking of building an AMD 64 system and read to find a motherboard without onboard audio or video. Can anyone advise on a make/model of motherboard that I can look into?

Also, I'm using Cubase SX 2.0 and a Tascam FW-1884. should I go with Intel or AMD?

when booting up Pro Tools LE 6.2.2 I always get 3 pop up windows

1) component DFX chorus has expired Jan 13, 2004
2) Pro Tools LE for DV toolkit window
3) digitranslator window

I am not gonna buy any of these add ons, how can I make them go away forever javascript:emoticon(':(')

Inst there Anybody still making these? All I found was a Tascam Tascam BR-20 that runs for $3000 at sweetwater.

I ve been hearing a lot about problems with sample rate conversion. At first thought i would choose to use best bitdepth and sample rate i could find but then i start thinking that, if finally my tracks will be listen in 44.1 the mathenatical operation it has to be done will be less perfect if i record in 48k or 96k than if i do it 44.1 or 48.2.
