I have an opportunity to get either a pair of Tannoy Reveals or Event 20/20's in exchange for a video card I'm not using anymore. They both belong to a friend who has upgraded his monitors. I have used Reveals before and liked them alot. They have great detail and the imaging is super, but since they are not extremely flat EQ can be a little tricky but not unworkable.

My apologies if this seems like an obvious question, but do any of you have recommendations or important considerations for a good, cheap computer monitor for a PC-based DAW system? The system is below. I have a small amount of space, but hope to use two monitors. Thanks for any recommendations or considerations.

The optimal setting is imo setting all faders to -14 dB (+ 6 dB fain = 20 dB)

This way you will have more room to mix and to place tracks in the front end.

My experience is that the sound is more open, wide, clear, deep, warm, clean and professional.

I'm pretty much a newbie with recording, and I have this problem with every kick drum. .

Everyone is allowed at least one stupid question right? Well here is mine- I have phantom power on my preamp (VTB-1) and on my 002R. Do I use one or both or if one which one? Thanks and sorry about the entry level question.

Does anyone know where to find more information about Adam Kasper's Micing techniques ? Or do you know what microphones he use, and how he places them ? I know already about his gear, mostly vintage stuff and recording on tape.
