Rhodes Expert Needed
Hello!
I've just bought an old fender rhodes 73 suitcase silvertop with an effect loop built-in and I have a lot of question to ask.
1. The keyboard action is quite "loose". I have to hit some keys very hard to get a sound. There's a big groove on each felt hammer and damper. What can I do about it?

UREI Model 562 info?
Hi recently I aquired, at the right price (free) a box known as a UREI model 562 feedback supressor. Looks like a 5 band parametric eq to me.Anyone out there have any familiarity with this piece? Any info greatly appreciated.

What to do to keep stereo buss to peak on PT?
How do you guys proceed when the stereo bus is "clipping"?
Lower each fader by the same amount?
Lower each fader by individual amounts?
Lower the master fader?
AMD or Intel?
Ummh, I'm shopping for a new system and I just wanted to straighten a few things out and ask a few:
I have a RME Hammerfall Lite 9636 card.
Should I go with AMD or Intel?
Which Chipset? Seems like Via and SIS are catching up with Intel somewhat?

Firewire
Just a question. Is it the portability of firewire that makes it such a hot item? Just wondering. Isn't a dedicated PCI card still better than firewire in terms of recordable tracks, data transfer etc.

My "new" peecee
A few days ago, I was trying to get a peecee emulator to work on my Mac so that I could play an RPG on it at the same time as my girlfriend. A friend of mine came over, saw my frustration, and came back with a gift for me ... his old peecee that he had sitting in storage for the past year.
Well ... it "was" a K6II-350 with 64Mb SDRAM, 4Gb HDD. Ummm, but that didn't last long.

Rolling off bass freq. on Bass tracks
I usually do two tracks when i record bass. One of my Countryman DI and the other is mic'd. I am well aware that my monitors are SERIOUSLY lacking in anything under 150hz (Event PS8s) so I have a hard time getting bass to translate well. What I am finding is that almost always I have to roll off all bass below 150-250hz on bass and sometimes bass drum tracks. Even the DI tracks.

AKG C412
Google has finally let me down.
There seems to be an information gap as regards the AKG C412 microphone.
I have a line on one in Texas, but the guy is selling gear for a friend's widow and doesn't know the mike any better than I do. Also, we both want the price to be fair, as the lady is in need.
