I've been wondering this awhile now. On the generic Pro Tools graphic equalizer, the frequencies are unequally spaced. For example, there is a large gap between 100hz and 200hz. But between 200hz and 300hz, the gap is about half as wide. Can someone explain the reasoning for this?

Recording and the construction of the dummy head developed for a dissertation at TEI Crete Greece, Department of Music Technology and Acoustics. The dissertation focuses on experimental construction of a human head (Dummy Head), for binaural recording and playback on headphones.

I'm trying to get myself decently set up for at home recordings, with minimal time and money invested. I'm semi-computer competent, and I do have some experience using standalone digital recorders, but have never gotten myself properly set up to use a PC. I tried my hand at Pro Tools, using v8 and an Mbox 2 mini. Changed PCs to a Windows 7 version, and Pro Tools completely failed me.
