Has anyone on here had any experience with both of these preamps?

How do they compare?

I was trying to hook up Digi003 and MOTU Traveler by using Pro Tools LE8,because I wanted to utilize 4 preamps of MOTU traveler.

I set the exact same sample rate,changed the internal setting to "Optical" in Pro Tools I/O,and used an optical cable(out from MOTU and into Digi003).

i know i sound bit dumb but need some good advice please i work with young djs trying to give them a chance to show there talents to show them how they are doing we record them and are currently using a HD mini disk but would like a device that can be used by the kids at home if need be something on the lines of a dictaphone sort of unit.

Has anyone in this group either worked for or at Quad Tech Studios in Los Angeles . It was open until the early 90's.The owner was Hank Waring.

hey, I'm having some trouble. i installed studio one, drivers, etc onto my computer, plugged my monitors into my firestudio project, restarted my comp, plugged the firestudio in, and I'm not getting any sound. I'm trying to hear itunes or youtube and nothing. i have gone into sound preferences to make sure the firestudio was the selected source.

I use a PreSonus Firestudio. I want to record a direct signal from an electric guitar, but also the live (tube)amp sound mic'd up. I don't have a DI or anything, so I've been trying stuff out. I like to record the raw clean sound, so i can always add a digital amp, or send it back to an amp, and re-record it with different settings.

So I create a frequency sweep in Adobe Audition 3.0.
5-22kHz for testing gear..
Whenever I do an offline frequency analysis of the sweep, how come the lowend up to 160Hz
is rolled off very slightly...
Even when using a spectrum analysis plugin , set to averaging, to maintain the trace.

I have been trying to get this system to work properly now - haven't had a chance to do it full-time because of work, etc - but I just seem to be digging a deeper hole. MIDI just kind of all hangs and "echoes" like a piano with the sustain pedal stuck down (horror-movie kind of ringing of all strings), or it has a very long delay in it. Also, I can't get audio output.
