Hi, this may seem a little too general.. but I was just wondering which guitars are the most standard for different genres of music. So like:

Standard guitar type/brand for upbeat pop music? Standard amp?

Standard guitar type/brand for edgy pop music? Standard amp?

Standard guitar type/brand for pop ballad music? Standard amp?

I'm looking at an amp for recording, three of the same line as a matter of fact. Two of which have speakers rated at 4 Ohm and the big daddy having a speaker rated at 8 Ohm.

From an engineer's standpoint is this significant? How about from a guitarist's standpoint :D I'm fairly sure that for guitarists more ohms = better, but my knowledge is a bit fuzzy.

We have a Behringer DDX3216 that the stereo out puts seem kind of low in volume. Is there anyway to increase the output without sacrificing the quality of the sound?

the max output level is is +16 dBu according to the specs. is there some type of module that can increase this?

okay so I have my inputs and outputs as FCA202 on my mac audio settings, and my garage band audio settings. I open up garage band and I add new track as a real instrument, because I will be recording with my microphone. Then I add another track with the music instrumental I want.

I am a previous Pro Tools user, but upgraded to vista 64 so PT is no longer an option. I did some research and decided Sonar 8 is the best for what I'm doing, but any recommendations for an interface that works with 64 bit vista?

ok so say I like listening to the background music when recording my vocals
but whenever I do this, I am always forced to record the music along with my vocals
is there a way to be able to listen to the background music along with my vocals in real time, but only records the vocals?

Yesterday I reduced a great deal of high-end hiss and lowered the noise floor in one fell swoop. I only rerouted the my current signal chain using the wires I have.
