I'm thinking about investing in a new Macbook Pro 17". I've done the research to know it's compatible with PT8, but now I'm just looking for anyone with some first hand knowledge.

Everything run fine?
A few bugs?
High track counts/Low track counts
How's latency?
Any fan/overheating issues?

I have two 2520's and one original Jensen 75101 but In need one more as well as a pair of 2164 or 2503. not sure havent tallied the job and pieces all yet, just started last night. I like the idea of vintage pieces as opposed to new. That might be a mistake and feel free to correct me if I am wrong...Anyway, had a great time racking in the past.

I’m very new to the music recording scene. My 10 year old son started playing guitar almost 2 years and has branched out playing drums, bass and keyboard. He now has gotten bitten by the recording bug where he discovered his usb mic supplied with Rock Band can be used to record his instruments into his laptop using sound recorder. He then multi tracks in Adobe Audition.

The vocals in the beginning are only for reference.

I have gotten the lead and vocals sounding great (IMHO) but the rhythm guitar just isn't clear.

I want those clear treble highs. Is there anything I can do EQ wise to bring them out more?

Ok, I'm just going to show my stupidity here. I have an AT-4047, an SM7B, and an LA-610. I have been trying to get a good recording of my buddy that is doing a straightup acoustic guitar and vocal thing. The guitars come out pretty good with two AT-2020s in stereo and a direct line into the console also.

Hi. I'm looking at putting together a Windows box. I've heard a rumor that VST's actually *LIKE* AMD processors.

Is this true?

If I were using VST's, would building an AMD box be a good start?

What are other advantages or disadvantages one would consider when constructing a new box for 2009.

January 30th Izotope released Ozone 4, which after working with this plug it is excellent in my opinion. However with as great as it is I along with others had a difficult time reading the general options text, another company putting gray over black. So I sent them an email asking them to look into this.
