I have noticed a lot of write up's on DC-OFF-SET.

I use Cubase & Wavelab.

When and where do I find & use the menu to do DC-offset?

I've been checking these 2 boxs for a while but I'm still not majorly inclined to any of the sides.
My specifications are 2,4Ghz dual core, 4Gb RAM, win vista 64bits, Ableton live.
The N-12 allegedly has better preamps and is more intuitive for rookie producers (like me).

Could someone help me swing the balance?

Ok i don't need much i think, I have Drumkit From Hell a Guitar and Bass, an Amp a PC and i need to record and mix everything together into simple Mp3 files. Problem is I was told i need Audio interface that would run the audio out and audio in for my Pc in order to play over a drum track and not have it gradually sync out, which is what is happening with my Usb In and sound card out...

I would like to get opinions from the group on which way is the preferred way to record a band. Individual tracks of each and if so use a metronome, or record the whole band together (in my case bleed over is not an issue) using scratch vocals?

is hitting 0 dBfs considered clipping? The reason I ask is because I just purchased a PreSonus central station and the LED meter considers 0dBfs a clip.

I'm a singer-songwriter who plays mostly acoustic rock/pop and I'm looking for a good budget keyboard to add a little color here and there. I want something that has good strings and piano above all else.

I'm looking for a relatively low-cost (less then $350) solution to making very long stereo recordings. A continuous 24 hours would not be unusual. I opened a thread on Budget Gear on the subject, but realized that I should restrict it to stand-alone solutions. And fully explore computer-based solutions here.
