"Interference" from nearby instruments?

I've recorded a large piano recital the last few years that invariably has two grand pianos on stage placed end to end (i.e. so the musicians can look at each other). The lids are up, so the right piano is aiming AWAY from the audience. Certainly not ideal, but I haven't convinced them to do it any other way.

to DAW or not Daw, that is the question.

I have ran the same production studio for a dozen years. 10 years ago we booted our unreliable 2" 3M machine and replaced it with a RADAR. We will have to move on soon due to the lack of efficient back-up and reliability. The new RADARs have better back-up systems, use wav files for DAW combatability, and dual record drives to take care of these issues. We are also considering Pro-Tools.

Need divice to store and play MP3 recording

I am looking to add sound to an HO scale model railroad rotary dumper. I have an Edirol R-09 to capture the sound file from the prototype unloader which is aproximately 46 seconds in length. I am having a Pic micro controller programmed to operate the unloader and would like to have the sound file activated every time the unloader was activated.

Setting up Multiple Harddrives for DAW

Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum...

I guess there's a lot of myths in all the theories on harddrive setups, but obviously logic and sense to many aswell...

Well, I just got yet another drive for backup and before setting up my system froms scratch, i'd like some update and ideas on setups, specially on the drives.

the ones i have in the PC:
