Hi everyone, my first post! I am getting my son either MBox 2 PRO or the PreSonus firestudio project. I have the specs from the compays, but which is a better quality interface and which software will be easyer to learn. PreSonus comes with Cubcase le and M box 2 PRO comes with Pro Tools le and lots of plugins.
We do not want to be limited in expantion in the future.

My next adventure will involve living out of a suitcase for a number of years. I plan to build a 'knapsack studio' for my travels. So far I'll have my Mbox, reason, cans and a macbook.

If you had to build a knapsack studio what kind of things would you have in it? Monitors, controllers, outboard gear, roll out keyboard, etc etc...

If Your Mixes Sound Good on These, They Sound Good on Anything

I'm trying to hook up an RME Fireface 800 and Apogee Ensemble to my iMac Core Duo, running Logic.
I've connected the two pieces using the ADAT in and out. The Fireface is connected to the computer with a firewire.

Aight I was wounderin if theres anything i could buy somthin that i could hook up to my computer or somthin..

As the title suggests, I'm thinking of starting to record my own material but haven't got a clue which setup would be good for me.
From what I've read on these forums and around internet I've noticed that there are enormous amounts of equipment to choose from. So now I need the help of the enlightened on this forum. What to buy with 1000€?

I am using Sonar 6 producer edition 64 in
windows XP pro 64 edition and a
MOTU 828 mkll 64 install

the project is 5 tracks (problem is on all projects)
audio driver at 24 bit depth 64 bit engine clicked
sampling rate at 44100
ASIO drivers ver 3.6.7.4.

I've had this mixer in my studio for a while but I never actually took the time to get it completely up and running. This is due to the fact that I have had the same problem in the past as I am having now.
